As Data Engineer, you take charge of designing and maintaining robust data infrastructures. You build scalable pipelines, transform raw data into valuable insights, and ensure the system runs securely and efficiently. APIs, data warehouses, and performance tuning are central to your daily tasks.
You prioritize quality, crafting solutions that are clean, future-proof, and customer-centric. Keeping up with the latest tech trends is part of your role, and you actively share new knowledge with your team.
At Rockfeather, we integrate Data Engineering with Data Visualization and Low-Code to deliver comprehensive solutions. Your contributions are key to ensuring these components work seamlessly together.
Job Requirements
You bring a blend of expertise and energy to your role as a Data Engineer. With 2-5 years of experience and a strong foundation in Informatics or Computer Science, you thrive in cloud-based environments and are passionate about delivering impactful data solutions for our customers.
On a typical day, you:
Design and maintain cloud-based data pipelines (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, SQL Server)
Program with SQL, ensuring smooth data flow and efficient processing
Work with relational databases, data modeling, and ETL processes
Translate business needs into actionable, scalable data solutions
Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration of data systems
Communicate fluently in both Dutch and English, sharing knowledge and insights
Approach your work with a proactive, results-driven mindset
Travel to the office or client locations as part of your regular routine
What We Offer:
Contract: 9-month temporary contract with the intention of transitioning to a permanent role
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: €3,600 - €4,725 (based on experience)
Holiday Pay: 8% holiday allowance
End-of-Year Bonus: Paid out in March-April, based on FTE
